Dolomite Occurrences In Chhotaudepur: A Cost-Benefit Analysis For The Local Economy- Being Conducted by FAM

The project may be defined as a detailed study of dolomite mineral (reserves, grade, existing market, mining practices, scope etc.), as it occurs in Chhotaudepur (District Vadodara, Gujarat), and the local economy (family assets, average incomes, literacy, employment, estimates of dolomite reserves of their land holdings etc.) for the development of a comprehensive socio-economic model which would ensure direct benefit to the local population.

An important requirement from the project is the compilation and cataloging of Geological, Industrial and Social data mined from Chhotaudepur for the purpose of creating a database for future studies.

The project is being executed by the coordinated efforts of Faculty of Applied Management and The Department of Construction Projects Management, CEPT Ahmedabad and is bound by the terms and conditions laid by Gujarat Mineral Research Development Society (GMRDS).
